Instead of improvements, there seem to be more obstacles in Romania in facilitating the access into labor market of persons with disabilities. Recently the Romanian government adopted an emergency decree which removed an option that cost the jobs and livelihood of most of the around 2000 persons with disabilities - pointed out Csaba Sógor in Brussels, in the Thursday parliament debate about implementing the European disability strategy.
The prestigious Hungarian chamber choir from Transylvania, Vox Humana performed in Brussels upon the invitation of MEP Csaba Sógor. On Sunday, September 11th, the ensemble from Sepsiszentgyörgy/Sfântu Gheorghe sang works by important Hungarian composers at the Hungarian Catholic Mission in the capital of Belgium.

The European Parliament and the European Commission organized a public hearing on February 20th in Brussels, on the subject of maximizing the use of the benefits of European citizenship. This was the first of the series of events organized within the European Year of Citizens (2013). The aim of the European Year is to eliminate the European citizenship-related practical barriers citizens encounter in their everyday lives – especially in the fields of freedom of movement and exercising political rights – through the events organized throughout the year.
Due to the high level of interest for the event, the opening ceremonies of Szeklerland’s Representative Office in Brussels took place on two different venues and days. On the 31st of May László Tőkés, the Vice-President of the EP and MEPs Gyula Winkler and Csaba Sógor hosted a reception in the European Parliament, while the actual opening of the office took place on the 1st of June at the Representation of the Regions of Hungary in Brussels.
