Young Hungarians from Transylvania had the opportunity to expand their knowledge on entrepreneurship, marketing and media at this year’s Youth Business Programme Camp. The most talented high school students attending the training programme joined the competition for a one-month start-up training at the Boston MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

Nearly one hundred students from Brasov, Mureș, Harghita, Satu-Mare, Cluj and Bihor counties and also from Hungary attended the event held between the 26^th of July and the 1^st of August at the Salvator hotel in Miercurea-Ciuc. The training was organised for the fifteenth time by the Calasanctius Scholarship Foundation and the CTP Transylvania Association.

MEP Csaba Sógor (RMDSZ, EPP Group) is a constant sponsor and speaker at the event. During his speech on Wednesday the MEP talked to the young audience about his career choice, and how his path lead him from being a pastor to serving the people by being a politician. In his opinion in today's constantly changing world it is increasingly important to learn more than one profession and more foreign languages.

”Regardless of the professional orientation you choose, you must aim to be an active part of the community, and make responsible decisions in the best interest of the community”- stressed the MEP. Csaba Sógor believes that the creation of a strong civil society in Transylvania depends  mainly on the youth of today. He pointed out that unresolved issues are more common in countries with a weak civil society, so young people should be encouraged to take on community roles. The Youth Business Programme is trying to pass on this kind of approach to young people, so every year the participants perform various volunteer tasks during the one-week camp period.
